Wash yellow moong dal and rice. Soaked in water for half an hour. Then drain the water.
Take a pressure cooker. Heat the ghee on medium flame. Add cumin seeds, asafoetodia and cloves. When it cracked, add soaked dal and rice. Saute for a minute on low flame. Now combine salt, turmeric powder and 3 cup of water. Mix well and close the lid.
On high flame apply a whistle and switch off the heat with three whistles on medium flame. Keep aside.
In curd add roasted powder and salt. Keep aside.
When cooker's pressure is released, open the lid. Saute nicely and mix desi ghee. Delicious, healthy and nutritious KHICHDI is ready to serve.
Take out the KHICHDI in serving plate. Serve hot with curd,salad (cucumber, tomato and green chilly) & roasted papad. Garnish with nibu chutney and fresh Pomegranate seeds. ENJOY !!
